Senior Exploration Geophysicist

Roland Mavesera is a dynamic geophysicist with more than five years of professional experience in mineral exploration, hydrogeology, geotechnical, and environmental investigations. Since joining Vortex Geoscience Consultancy in 2019, he has contributed to projects across Southern Africa, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, Botswana, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.

Roland’s career is marked by hands-on expertise in geophysical data acquisition, processing, and interpretation, as well as geological mapping and geochemical survey techniques. He is also skilled in GIS map production and has played a key role in integrating geoscience data for exploration and environmental studies.

Beyond his technical skills, Roland has developed strong leadership and project management capabilities, successfully coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring the delivery of high-quality results across diverse geoscience projects.
