Prof. Rubeni Tawanda Ranganai is a distinguished geophysicist with more than 30 years of experience in regional geophysics and geological interpretation. He is recognized as one of Southern Africa’s leading experts in aeromagnetic data compilation, processing, and interpretation, as well as in the design and management of geophysical surveys for minerals, groundwater, engineering, and environmental applications.

He holds an MSc in Exploration Geophysics (University of Zimbabwe, 1985), a BSc in Physics, Mathematics & Geology (University of Botswana and Swaziland, 1982), and a PhD in Geophysics (University of Leeds, UK, 1995). His academic and professional background has positioned him at the forefront of geoscience research and consultancy in Africa.

Prof. Ranganai has contributed to numerous multi-disciplinary international projects, including the African Gravity Project, African Magnetic Mapping Project, and studies on lithospheric thickness and diamond potential in the Kaapvaal Craton. His collaborations span universities, geological surveys, and industry partners, where he has provided advanced geological interpretation, mineral and groundwater resource evaluation, and environmental monitoring.
